Suntrace takes pride in claiming to have initiated and elaborated the technical concept and feasibilty for a PV hybrid fuel saver for B2G’s gold mining operations in Namibia.

The Suntrace GmbH team congratulates B2Gold Corp. for having taken the decision of installing a hybrid PV-diesel system with a 7 MW PV fuel saver. Suntrace takes pride in claiming to have initiated and elaborated the technical concept and feasibilty for a PV hybrid fuel saver for B2G’s gold mining operations in Namibia. We wish B2G a successful implementation, smooth operations and many happy returns. In 2014, Suntrace GmbH and its Namibian Partner Amusha Consulting approached B2Gold Corp. with the idea to substantially reduce their energy bill in form of Heavy Fuel Oil and Diesel for their power supply by installing a Photovoltaic Power system as a daytime fuel saver. Suntrace was exclusively mandated as advisor and developer to elaborate the technical and economic concept for a 5 to 15 MW PV fuel saver on the mining site. The Suntrace study and advisory work was supported by German Development Bank DEG (part of KfW group) and well received by B2G.
