Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, Wednesday, 17 May 2017, 2:00 p.m.
Giselle Nunes-Cordes will be a speaker at the Workshop "Raising the Lifetime of Functional Materials for Concentrated Solar Power Technology". She will speak about “Component degradation: how do investors and banks look at it?" in the section "Impact of degradation on plant performance and economics".
The RAISELIFE project was funded in the EUs Horizon 2020 program and started in April 2016. The project focusses on raising the lifetime of key functional materials for CSP technologies: 1) protective and anti-soiling coatings for primary reflectors, 2) very high-reflective surfaces for heliostats, 3) high- temperature secondary reflectors, 4) receiver coatings, 5) corrosion resistant high-temperature metals and coatings for steam and molten salts.
The aim of this workshop is to disseminate project results and to bring together the main actors of industry, plant owners and researchers related to the topic of material and component degradation in the CSP field.
